Abstract
The purpose of this book is to provide the readers with a general overview of the historical development of human rights law as applied in the Canadian and international context, together with some of its philosophical and theoretical bases. These issues are summarized in a compilation of the most important international and national documents which concern rights and freedoms. Professor Schabas and Turp examine the nature and content of human rights, and the possibilities of their implementation.
