The Maximilien-Bibaud Lecture – held in honour of Professor François-Maximilien Bibaud (1823-1887), the first professor of law in Lower Canada – is one of the annual events organized by the Society. Every year, the SQDI invites a renowned professor to give a major conference regarding an issue of general international law.
