Matthieu-Bernard Competition

We cordially invite all students currently enrolled in a program of law or international studies to participate individually or as a team to this competition.

The winning essay, selected by a panel of three international experts, will have the chance to be published in a regular issue of the Journal, subject to the approval of QJIL’s Review Committee. In addition to the publication of their manuscript, each winning student (or team) will be awarded a cash prize of $ 500.

Presentation

The Société québécoise de droit international annually invites eligible law students to participate in the Matthieu-Bernard Essay Competition in international law.

After a short absence, the competition was rebooted in 2004. Every year, students are invited to address alternately an emerging issue in public or private international law.
